Local Markets
The Fish Market comes alive early morning with fishermen arriving with fresh catch. The Municipal Market, housed in a historic building, blends colours, aromas and local produce.
Porto Grande Bay
Colonial buildings and colourful houses create a unique landscape. At the end of the day, with lights reflecting on the water, the atmosphere becomes even more special.
Praça Estrela
Starting point to explore the island. Here you'll find the shared minibuses (hiaces) to São Pedro, Salamansa, Calhau and Baía das Gatas.
Mindelo Cultural Centre
Regular exhibitions, concerts and events reflecting Cape Verdean creativity. The historic building and inner courtyard invite a peaceful pause in the city.
Palácio do Povo
Iconic neoclassical building, former governor's residence. Now hosts cultural exhibitions including a space dedicated to Cesária Évora.

Instalado num edifício histórico de 1874 no centro de Mindelo, o Mercado Municipal é um espaço único para mergulhar na vida quotidiana da ilha — cores, aromas, conversas e produtos locais.

Monte Verde é o ponto mais alto da ilha de São Vicente, com cerca de 750 metros de altitude.
